Yes - Savannah and Tybee are very popular towns and there are ample Uber, Lyft, rickshaw, trolley, and taxi options. Using Uber or Lyft is the recommended way of travel to and from the event. You must be sober to drive out of the parking lot after the wedding event. YOU MAY LEAVE YOUR CAR OVERNIGHT, UNTIL NOON ON SATURDAY, APRIL 8, 2023 IN THE MACKEY HOUSE PARKING LOT. If you bring a car into Savannah - please be mindful of where you park. Your hotel/AirBNB may often includes parking so this may not be a concern - If you drive around town instead of walking, It is worth purchasing a Savannah Park Pass or downloading the App on the back of the meter. Tybee Island parking will vary but is not as "strict" as Tybee Island
Everyone invited to the wedding is named on the invitations. Please, no outside guests. They will be asked to leave by Mackey House Security to honor the integrity of the intimate family and close friends environment for safety reasons.
This is a 21+ year old event.
Dinner will be served Station Style, after the appetizer rounds have ended. Dessert and snacks will be available in abundance as well. The menu is pending approval at this time and will be updated here as available.
Yes - Water, Infused Water, Pop, Tea, Lemonade, Mocktails, Beer, White Wine, and Spirits/Cocktails will be available all evening.
No - the weather should be in the low-mid 70's like a perfect spring day. Savannah and Tybee are very walkable towns. The ocean water will not be very warm yet but worth a dip anyway! The Mackey House is an indoor/outdoor venue with shade structures, fans, heaters, and a wrap-around covered deck providing space for everyone to spread out and enjoy the breeze through the garden.
NO GLASS (T&D have had to pay $350 fines for glass containers that were in the trash can next to them on the beach, they are very strict with this) NO ALCOHOL (this is a new law in effect this year) NO PETS
