CJ and Tyler met for the first time at the fair in 2013. Only a few words were exchanged that night, and they didn't think they would ever meet or speak again. Through the power of social media, Tyler and CJ started exchanged tweets in the summer of 2014 and knew by that point that he wanted to pursue her. A few months later, CJ made the (bold) move to reach out to Tyler with the hopes that she would show interest in hanging out with him. Ironically, Tyler had already realized she was interested in talking to CJ, so by the time he reached out to her, the rest was history. Through going on 8 years of history, both high school sweethearts have had the incredible opportunity to grow up together, and begin a new chapter of adulthood and marriage together.

CJ and Tyler had the amazing opportunity to take a vacation in late February of 2021. To celebrate multiple occasions, family members and the closest friends of the couple all traveled to St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. On one beautiful night, the group went into the cobblestone city streets of St. Thomas to eat at a beautiful, art-filled Italian restaurant. After wining and dining, CJ took Tyler outside to take pictures, and took that moment to take off the ring that she had worn on her ring finger for years to replace it with an engagement ring. Tyler of course said yes!!
