We met back in high school during our Senior Year. Tyler had sent a Friend Request on Facebook and mentioned that we met at a football game. After sending a few messages through Facebook, we exchanged numbers. A few weeks went by and we went on our first date to an ice cream shop called Maggie Moo's. We sat for hours talking and ended up driving around Spokane. From that night on, it's been the two of us.
Fast forward 5 years - Tyler and I had talked about getting married eventually when both of us were done with college. So, when Tyler did end up proposing, it was a complete surprise to me. We were in San Diego for a few days for a wedding. With a few days left of our trip, we decided to go up to L.A. and ended up in Santa Monica for dinner to go to the beach. After a great dinner, we went for a walk on the beach to watch the sunset and to get some pictures. While down on the beach, Tyler asked me to get his sweatshirt out of his backpack. When I went to grab it, the box was sitting on top. I took it out and asked Tyler what it was. He then proceeded to turn around and get on one knee.
2020 was to be our year saying "I Do" in front of all who are dear. Then, COVID hit and took all gatherings away. Sadly, there went our very special wedding day. But life goes on and we wed very small. Quietly with family and missing you all. Almost a year has passed and we still silently mourn, but that's when this exciting idea was born. Let's all gather outside to eat, dance, and play for a year's worth of wedding stuffed in one day. Food, cake, gifts, and decor. We're throwing it all in to celebrate once more. But this time with you as we had planned it to be, celebrating the love of Mr. and Mrs. Kelsey.
