If you are staying at the Doubletree by Hilton (former known as Hyatt Place) hotel downtown Asheville, this rooftop bar is a must. Even if you are not staying in the hotel, this rooftop bar is a must. Great views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and a perfect place to watch the sunset.
So good!! So good, that we even debated keeping this recommendation to ourselves and not including it on the list. This Indian restaurant has great street food and some of the best Chai tea Christine has ever had, and that is saying something. Don't be intimidated if there is a wait, it is worth it!
With two locations in Asheville, this is a great breakfast spot.
Great for hiking, camping, and exploring nature. If you plan to stay a couple of days, the Pisgah offers many diverse trails within a quick drive from Asheville.
If you skip this brewery on your trip to Asheville you will regret it. Say hi to the Sloth and Tom Selleck (no that is not Burt Reynolds) for us.
We were so happy when we started seeing this brewery's beer being sold in Atlanta stores. But it sure does taste even better coming straight from the source!
This is always our go-to spot for grabbing a bite and a beer after a long hike in the Pisgah. Tela especially loves the outdoor dining area.
The Willy Wonka of breweries. Even if you're not a big beer person, they have an outdoor space with gardens, a cool hangout area by the river, and amazing grub.
