Carrie and Tyler met at a winter oyster roast at Carrie's house. Carrie was entertaining so they only briefly spoke but Tyler knew that he needed to get to know Carrie better. So a few days later Tyler called Carrie and asked her out . . . to breakfast. On a cold January morning Tyler showed up at Carrie’s door with homemade cinnamon rolls and the two went to breakfast. The breakfast date moved from the café to the dog park and eventually ended after dinner at a Mexican restaurant. Four years later – just after breakfast – Tyler proposed to Carrie in a meadow under a camellia at the National Arboretum in Washington, D.C. Carrie said yes. So now after three years of physical therapy school, four years of law school, a year in Washington, and some wonderful trips together, Carrie, Tyler, Gus, and Biggie Smalls (our cat) are making this family official!
