Get to know our Wedding Party!

Brittany Stewart

Bride

The day is finally here!! Well, not really, but it’s coming! I am so beyond blessed and excited to get to spend the rest of my life with Tyler. I can’t imagine not having these ladies by my side as Ty and I take this next step. Let me introduce them to you!

Christen Becerra

Matron of Honor

Christen has been by my side for almost 20 years! Our friendship truly began during our time in Girl Scouts. Christen would carpool home with me on Fridays for meetings and it’s truly where we learned how weird and perfect we were for each other. During seventh grade we created the backstory of the T-Quirrel [a squirrel with a taco for a head created in a freak microwave accident] and had the BEST time coming up with games to sneakily play during our English Lit class. Though our lives are completely different now, we are still the same 12 year-olds when we hang out and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Jordan Owens

Matron of Honor

I may have only met Jordan six years ago, but we both have helped each other grow so much in that time. I was introduced to her as “the other blonde girl” when she started at 4Rivers in Gainesville a month after me. After talking and learning we had too much in common to not be friends, we quickly started helping each other survive our TERRIBLE random roommates and signed to be roomies together the next year. Since then she’s seen me through the entirety of Tyler’s and my relationship [as I have hers with Ryan] and I couldn’t think of a better person to stand by me at the altar.

Bethany Evans

Bridesmaid

I met Bethany when she started working for my mom as her Professional Intern after college. Because Bethany was away from home, she really took to our family as her second home and I am so blessed that she did. Since then, she has truly become my older sister and the person I know I can always go to with literally anything. She taught me how to ease into the transition of high schooler into college student, how to have smart and responsible fun in college, and how to handle adult life in general. Bethany and her husband Taylor have helped show me how a good couple truly works together and I am so grateful to have that. I may not have a real sister but when it comes to life lessons, Bethany is pretty darn close. I couldn’t do this without her.

Coleen O’Keefe

Bridesmaid

Coleen has been my friend since we were THREE years old in the EEC at Holy Family! We’ve been together since the beginning! Our middle school “study group” was really just a reason for us to hang out and go to Panera on Tuesday nights. During high school we moved the “study group” to The Wilderness Lodge during finals week and in Gville, Paschal’s Coffee was the place {rip to that time my car got towed and we had to walk all the way back to her dorm. That was fun} Coleen has always been able to calm me down, gives great advice, is an amazing listener and just a wonderful friend. I couldn’t imagine this day without her.

Katie Roberson

Bridesmaid

I met Katie when my dad was her manager while she was working at the Magic Kingdom. With her family being in Texas, she has become a sister and a regular at the Stewart House. I am so blessed that Katie came into my life. I’m not even sure how many times I’ve asked her to do my makeup, she’s just too good at it! I can always count on her to split a Black Velvet with me and she’s always down for a sister date at Disney Springs. She rarely lets me pay which I always feel terrible about but I’ll get her back someday! I can always talk to Katie about anything that might be bothering me and know that she will truly be praying for my best interests. She’s my sister by choice and I couldn’t do this without her!!

Madison Buettner-Costen

Bridesmaid

My Biggie!!! Madison and I chose literally each other and I’m so happy we did. We’ve only known each other for a short time through Omega Phi Alpha but have bonded greatly through our classes. We had to put up with A LOT in our capstone class and it really brought us together! Also being the amazing photographer that she is, I’ve been lucky enough to model for and work with Madison a ton over the last year. I was lucky enough to stand by her side in July and I cannot wait for her stand by mine!

Mary Baumann

Bridesmaid

Mary and I have been BWFFs (best weird friends forever) since 4th grade. She introduced me to a lot of things, like a Jay-Z and Kanye West classic that I cannot mention the name of. We would always have the best times annoying our gym teacher at Holy Family and singing in Art class. We were inseparable in eighth grade and the times we were moved away from each other for talking too much were countless. Mary and I went to rival high schools but we never were. Though we haven’t been in the same state since high school we can always start up where we left off the last time. Mary is one of the sweetest and most dependable people you will ever meet and I am SO excited she can stand by my side!

Morgan Haas

Bridesmaid

Morgan was the very first friend I made in school! We’ve been together through so much. Every summer growing up was spent swimming in her pool, then hiding somewhere in her house when my mom would come to pick me up. Our paths have become more spaced apart since middle school but every time we’re together, we pick up right where we left off. Her spirit is as fiery as her hair color and her love is unconditional. We’ve talked about this day since we were five years old and I don’t know how I could celebrate it without her.

Stephanie Pender

Bridesmaid

I met Steph at the Gville 4R when I was supposed to be training her in To-Go’s. I soon learned that she was the most capable/competent person I had ever “trained” and she got the hang of everything in less than ten minutes. After only knowing each other for about a week, we KNEW it would be a great idea to live together and we were not wrong. That year was the BEST! Between our sleepovers, movie nights, and late night Steak & Shake runs, we bonded SO MUCH! She told me to “shoot my shot” with Tyler and now she’ll be by my side at the alter while we tie the knot.

Brianna Maphis

Bridesmaid

Even though she will no longer be able to attend the wedding, I’m still considering Brianna a bridesmaid because as far as I’m concerned, she still is! I met Brianna when she started at Holy Family in sixth grade. She is the person I can call whenever I need a laugh. Pretty much anything she does is hilarious and amazing. I was basically her chauffeur for six years and I must say, I didn’t hate it! I could always count on her to let me crash at her apartment in Gainesville (rip). She’s always there to encourage me to get another piercing, have another margarita, or do my eyeshadow since I don’t trust myself. Love ya Brieluvsdogs!!

Tyler Fogt

Groom

I am Groot... Groom. If you can't tell by my terrible jokes, I am so excited for our wedding day and I can't wait to be Brittany's husband! The gentlemen standing by my side on my wedding day have been my best friends through every stage of my life, and they have each played an important role in who I am today. If only they had shared some of their height.

Ethan Fogt

Brother of Groom & Best Man

The Best Man. A “googan” at heart, Ethan is my younger brother. E is my Best Man not because he’s family, but because he has been by my side for as long as I can remember, sharing all of our childhood memories and staying closest friends into adulthood. There’s no better way to describe brotherly love than by looking at our friendship. There are times when he’s swung a bat at my eye and broken furniture in wrestling matches, and then there’s times when we’ve talked about God, love, and life in the woods on a hunting trip. Brittany’s first real time spent with my family involved Ethan holding nothing back and throwing me onto a coffee table in the living room, destroying it. Since then he has become really good friends with Britt, proving that he can, in fact, talk to girls. Love you bro

CJ Stewart

Brother of Bride & Groomsman

Somehow CJ has been able to see past the terrible first impression that I left on him and accept me as his brother-in-law. The first time I met CJ he was mowing the lawn, watching in horror while I tumbled out of Britt’s backseat with a lap full of bloody vomit (long story). The funniest thing about that situation was CJ’s response to just stop the lawnmower and go inside to watch The Office while chaos ensued. Knowing CJ, I can only imagine him looking at me from across the yard and nonchalantly saying “that’ll do it for me” or “lawn looks good enough” before getting out of there. His dry, witty humor is the highlight of any family dinner, and I can’t wait to be his brother by law.

Arsh Haj

Groomsman

Arsh and I go back to freshman year of college. Our friendship started in the dining hall, and I think that the first thing that he ever said to me made me nearly choke on my pizza. Arsh is one of the funniest people I have ever known and he convinced me to go to one night of fraternity rush at Pi Lam for free food and because of that, I met two more of my groomsmen and made many more lifelong friends. I vividly remember when we both called our parents at 2am the night before a chemistry final to tell them that we were gonna fail. We failed. Since then, I have never seen anyone more dedicated to his education. I mean, Arsh should have been paying rent to the library. Even so, the occasional time that we got Arsh to forget about school for a night ended up being one for the recordbooks.

Calvin Page

Groomsman

Calvin originally knew me as the benchwarmer for the JV baseball team that Coach BJ hated. Then I won the school dodgeball tournament for him and his opinion of me changed. Calvin and I have always bonded over our ability to “be normal”, because we were surprised how lacking most people are in logical thinking. From planning the best reunion party Suncoast has ever seen to our signature beach day tradition, Calvin is always the friend that I can look to for serious advice and great memories.

Eric Wallmueller

Groomsman

Eric and I go back to 1st grade and we spent the next 12 years of adolescent shenanigans creating some of my favorite memories; from carpooling to school and sprinting into class late every day, spending endless summer days barefoot on Singer Island, sneaking into the Marriot pool, joining the volleyball team, and getting/making hundreds of smoothies. Eric is the ringleader of our random and weird assortment of high school friends that are still the closest group of friends that Suncoast has ever seen, and I attribute that to everyone just wanting to be friends with Eric. We’re all just the kids from The Sandlot, and Eric is Benny the Jet.

Justin Gutierrez

Groomsman

I don’t think I’ve ever called Guti by his first name, so I’m not going to start in this bio. Guti and I met when we both joined Pi Lam freshman year. I don’t think I’ve argued with anyone more than I have with Guti, but our friendship is only stronger because of it. We’ve taken road trips all over the country together: West to Los Angeles, North to Bloomington, Beech Mountain, and Nashville, and South to Key Largo – all incredible adventures with incredible friends. Countless nights hanging out on the Lighthouse patio will be some of the best times of my life. I went to Guti for advice when Britt and I were just starting out because of how much I admire his and Tiff’s relationship, and evidently it was some pretty good advice!

Nick Zarins

Groomsman

Nick and I have been neighbors since birth, and friends for just as long. He’s so much part of my family that I can’t remember the last time that he knocked on our front door – he just walks right in like he lives there too. When Nick joined me at UF, it felt like he brought a piece of home with him, and our brotherhood grew stronger with every tailgate, pregame, springs trip, and foosball game we played. I even drive his hand-me-down car to this day (200k miles and still kicking!). What stands out the most about Nick is his incredible thoughtfulness and selflessness, and that much is clear to anyone that knows him. Nick has played a big part in Britt and I’s relationship as being the friend that is always there for both of us with his sage wisdom.

Remy Phillips

Groomsman

Coming in at 6’4”, 220 pounds, its Remy Remz AKA Le Petite Baguette (He wanted that introduction). Remy is most likely to be the guy wearing a fake mullet, guarding the door of the church cuz he’s normally a bouncer on Saturdays. Just don’t give him a fake ID and he’ll let you through. Remy and I lived across the hall from each other in the dorms freshman year and we instantly bonded. We’ve pretty much been roommates ever since, and we haven’t killed each other yet! Remy is the most interesting person I know. He has experienced more in his life than most people do in a lifetime, and the way that he recounts stories, from his experiences with hospital patients or his travels, always have me laughing to tears. Mainly, Remy is the most loyal friend, and I know that he’ll always have my back.

Richard Minichiello

Groomsman

I met Mini (last name, not a height joke) when our two fraternities merged into one and we dominated the intramural volleyball league. We quickly became great friends, probably because I gave him the best volleyball sets, and he signed a house together with the rest of us Lighthouse roommates shortly after. We had the time of our lives as roommates, from Rich playing Steve Harvey in Roommate Family Feud, to countless double scoots to the frat house for dinner and hours spent hanging out on the back patio playing ping pong. Mini is the most fun-loving, friendly person I know. We were friends instantly, and that bond has only grown over the years. He just loves life, and its contagious!

Kaitlyn, Kristin, & Karynn

Cousinmaids

Kaitlyn, Kristin, and Karynn are Britt’s first cousins. The girls have all grown up together and have become so much closer in the past few years. The support and love Britt and her cousins have always shown each other is priceless. A “cousinmaid” may be an unconventional role but there was no way Britt was not going to include her girls in some way!
