Raleigh Beer Garden
Located within walking distance from the Hampton Inn and Suites, the Raleigh Beer Garden, has the world's largest selection of draft beers in one restaurant. It has an inviting atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating options. If you're hungry, they also have a full menu! Tyler and I enjoy this location for casual drinks with friends on a low-key Friday or Saturday night.
North Carolina State University
Take a walk around North Carolina State University Campus, where Tyler and I met! Make sure you stop by Talley Student Center for a scoop (or two) of Howling Cow ice cream. This ice cream is made at NC State by milk from their own cows and it is AMAZING. Three scoops of cookies and cream ice cream with a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie the size of your face got me through several all-nighters at D.H. Hill Library. NC state is a place that means the world to both of us and it will always have a special place in our hearts.
Sushi Blues Cafe
Sushi Blues Cafe is located within walking distance from the Hampton Inn and Suites. Best part about Raleigh if you're a sushi lover?!? Sushi rolls are buy one get one free! While both Tyler and I prefer Sushi Nine on Western Blvd (also BOGO), this is walkable from the hotel and it is where Tyler and I shared our first date.
North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences
Located downtown, this museum features multiple floors of exhibits. From dinosaurs to microbes and meteorites, the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is the largest of its kind in the South East. This is my favorite museum in NC. Tyler and I have danced the night away ringing in the new year at this gorgeous venue for two years straight!
Clouds Brewing
Clouds Brewing is a bar and restaurant that features a full dining menu as well as a number of local brews. They also have a self-serve tap wall that rotates through a number of local breweries. Tyler and I frequently have brunch here for their mimosa flights and awesome shrimp and grits!
North Carolina State Capitol
While you're in town, visit our state's capitol building. Take in a piece of North Carolina history that lies in the heart of downtown Raleigh.
Raleigh Convention Center
During our wedding weekend the, 3-day, Animazement convention will be taking place at the Raleigh Convention Center. This event brings an influx of nearly 15,000 people to Raleigh. If you're into anime or interested in taking-in a variety of adults dressed in anime costumes, you may find yourself entertained at this location.
