Casco Viejo is the historical district of Panama City. It's a great place for lodging, walking, seeing colonial architecture, eating, drinking, and buying souvenirs. We always recommend AirBnB for lodging because we enjoy staying in a place with more local character. There are many options in Casco Viejo. We also recommend Magnolia Boutique Hotel & Hostel, which some friends of ours run. It's in a beautiful historic building in the heart of Casco, and they have a wide range of prices that should suit most travelers.

For those that live or are staying in the city, we invite you to hop on a traditional Diablo Rojo bus provided by Angie's Uncle. Important note: Panama allows passengers (not drivers) in vehicles to drink to their heart's content. The bus will leave from within walking distance of Casco Viejo. Exact location TBD. The drop-off location will be the same. Para aquellos que viven o se estará hospedando en la ciudad, los invitamos a viajar en un tradicional Diablo Rojo patrocinado por el Tío de Angie. El bus saldrá y regresará de un area cercana a Casco Viejo. El lugar exacto será anunciado pronto.
