It all started when they matched on the dating app, Hinge, in May 2021. Tyler sent the first message asking Allie what she was most looking forward to in 2021. After figuring out that they had overlapping interests, it only took a few messages back and forth for them to agree to meet each other in-person. On June 10th 2021, Tyler and Allie went to JP Licks Ice Cream on a boiling hot 90 degree day and sat on the only bench available directly under the sun. They had an awesome time despite Tyler having to constantly run inside the store to grab napkins for his dripping, melting ice cream cone. Despite this small mishap, the date went really well prompting them to go on a few more dates. Unfortunately, the timing wasn't right for either of them, so they decided to go their separate ways for the time being. Fast forward to December 2021, Allie texted Tyler (hoping he was still single) saying that she would love to meet up again since they had so much in common. Allie and Tyler talked for a few weeks that winter and then met up right after the holidays in January 2022. They dated for less than a month until they decided to make things official. They saw the West Side Story remake in the theater and, that same night, Tyler asked Allie to be his girlfriend. And she said yes (confidently)! A couple weeks later, after Tyler hosted a board game night with his friends/family at his apartment, Tyler told Allie he was falling in love with her. This was the first moment Allie had a feeling he was going to be her person because it was their second chance and he proved that he was genuine about wanting a relationship. A few months later, Tyler moved to Boston, .5 miles from Allie's apartment, and they saw each other almost every day. Tyler lived there for a year and they made so many great memories in Boston that year and really progressed in their relationship. In the following year, Tyler and Allie moved into an apartment in Danvers, MA, and Tyler proposed to Allie in Ogunquit, Maine on June 22nd, 2024. He not only surprised her with the proposal but he also secretly invited her family and his family to be there for the special moment. Their relationship is special because Allie and Tyler share so many of the same values and interests. They love to go hiking, play board games, travel, and watch sports/TV series together, which has led them to become not only life partners but best friends. They both have very close relationships with their friends/family, value quality time and experiences, and are excited about raising a family together.
