Matron of Honor
Britt and I became best friends in 4th grade while concocting a plan to harbor a puppy in Britt’s bedroom closet. Our friendship has spanned over twenty years and has only grown in depth and experiences. Britt has been my best friend, neighbor, international travel buddy and voice of reason and continued support every step of the way.
Maid of Honor
Han and I met in college when we became roommates in a house full of misfits. It was a glorious and ridiculous time in our lives. We became roommates again post-college during another glorious yet ridiculous time in our lives, this time mixed with a heavy dose of “figuring life out”. We have an incredibly deep and subtle friendship that will exist no matter the time or distance.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and I met late-night in her gigantic tent, coined the Taj Mahal, at a music festival. The perfect setting for our friendship to originate. I have had some of the best times and share incredible memories with Sarah, many of which are best kept to ourselves, sorry Mom!
Bridesmaid
Buddy! We had the type of high school angsty teenage friendship that movies are made of! Pais and I were always dreaming big, from plans to attend college out of state together to adopting twin children together. Not many of our collective high school dreams came true, but I would say our realities are even better than what we had dreamt up back then.
Bridesmaid
Katy is my sister-in-law, and having a sister is something I never knew I wanted until she came around. Katy is incredibly successful, kind, and patient (thank god for Kyle and his house projects!) and I am so excited to have her in my family and in my life.
Bridesmaid
Kendall is my soon-to-be sister-in-law and Coop’s younger sister. There is so much I admire about Kendall from her dedication to school and post-grad aspirations to her humor and serious wisdom (beyond her years). I’m so glad to have her as a sister and we’re waiting for her to join us out in Cali.
Bridesmaid
Claud has become my closest confidant and go-to for advice, retail therapy sessions, and low-key hangs. We seem to like all of the same things and have the same thoughts and sometimes I wonder if we are merging into the same person. I can’t imagine our lives here without her and am so thankful for her friendship.
Bridesmaid
Tessa is the light of my San Diego life! Tessa and I became fast friends as we both love sleeping and are always cold but I think she gets a little bit more satisfaction out of Coop’s pain and suffering than I do (as evident by the cackle you can hear ringing throughout the house whenever Coop has a blunder). I get to live vicariously through that.
Bridesmaid
Andrea and I met in a yoga teacher training, but it took 2.5 minutes of soul gazing before we became close friends. Staring into someone's eyes for that amount of time will bond you for life! I can ask or say anything to Andrea (and often do!) and know I will get a thoughtful and/or hilarious response. I have Andrea to thank for introducing me to Coop and encouraging what would become the most important relationship of my life.
Best Man
Lesh and I met while studying abroad in Valencia, Spain in 2011. We’ve experienced a lot together, like running with the bulls, crying during over-priced sushi dinners, and successfully escaping Chinese jail. Lesh is truly a one-of-a-kind lad who is fiercely loyal, creative, and hilarious. Whether I’m looking for a laugh, advice, or to shoot the shiz, I know Lesh always has my back. 'Nuff Said.
Groomsman
Brett and I became friends during our sophomore year of high school when we were paired up as beer pong partners at a small party (spoiler alert: we won...a lot.) As Brett and I tore through the local beer pong ranks and ascended into legendary status, we forged an unbreakable bond along the way. Brett is one of the most personable, outgoing, funny, large, successful, and outright awesome dudes you will meet, and I consider him to be more of a brother than a friend.
Groomsman
Varley and I met during the summer semester of our freshman year at FSU. We were random roommates, but immediately became inseparable. There is no one in this world that makes me laugh harder than Varley. Not only is his laugh and humor infectious, but his larger-than-life personality lights up every room that he walks into. At one point, Varley and I decided that we would both change our names to “CoopVar”, move into a shared compound with our wives, and raise children together. All of which would be named “CoopVar.” Ali, you cool with this?
Groomsman
Rob is the son of my father’s oldest brother, which also makes him my cousin. Being only 9-months apart in age, and growing up within minutes of each other, Robert and I have been best friends for my entire life. He is an incredibly intelligent, kind, passionate, and funny person who has and always will be so much cooler than me (hopefully he doesn't read this). I’ve always looked up to Rob and have blindly followed him throughout every phase of our life.
Groomsman
Joe is also my cousin from my dad’s side of the family and another person who I have always looked up to. Joe was the oldest cousin of our crew (9-months older than Rob), and was the calm voice of reason, and leader, among the three of us. Through countless weekend sleepovers, hours of endless video games, and full summers at tennis camp, Joe has played a massive role in my life.
Groomsman
Freddie is another friend of mine who I met in the great city of Valencia, Spain. Fred played a big part in my decision to move out to San Diego, and has since introduced me to some of the most incredible people in my life - and for that I will be forever grateful. Fred is, objectively, one of the funniest and wittiest people you will ever meet. I encourage each and every one of you to approach him at the wedding and request a joke. Beyond his great sense of humor, Fred is also a kind, fun-loving lad that I look forward to having as a friend for years to come.
Groomsman
Jason aka “The Bandit” aka “Bapo” and I met in San Diego, and he quickly became one of my best friends. Over the years, Bandit has worn a lot of hats in our relationship, including swim coach, workout partner, late night conversationalist, sleep doctor, and most importantly, someone that I can always count on for anything. There aren’t many people in this world that know me as well as Jason does, and vice versa. Cassidy has the unique ability to have you crying in laughter in one breath, and intelligently philosophising with you in the next. He’s as authentic as they come, and someone I’m lucky to have in my life.
Groomsman
I was introduced to Phil when I first moved to San Diego in 2016. Phil and I became close as soon as we realized that we both enjoyed betting on obscure sporting events, like women’s college lacrosse. Even though Phil has left me and moved back home to Orlando, he will always remain one of my closest buds. What I admire most about Phil is his uncanny ability to become friends with just about anyone that he encounters - even complete strangers. I attribute this to the fact that Phil listens intently when you talk, and truly cares about whatever it is that you’re saying.
Groomsman
Kyle is my soon-to-be-brother-in-law, and the oldest of Ali’s two younger brothers. Kyle and I have grown close over the past couple of years, and he feels like someone that I’ve known for much longer. Not only is Kyle a fun-loving, kind and passionate person, but he’s also an incredibly gifted craftsman who can build or fix just about anything. In fact, Kyle made the wooden ring box that I used to hold Ali’s engagement ring.
Groomsman
Ricky is another soon-to-be-brother-in-law, and Ali’s youngest brother. I met Ricky at a dinner with Ali’s father and mother-in-law. Given this was the first time meeting everyone, I was naturally a bit nervous. But what I learned is that Ricky is one of the easiest people to be around, and someone who cares deeply about the people around him. I’m looking forward to spending more time with Ricky, and finally getting out on the golf course so he can kick my ass.
