The airport is approximately 20–30 minutes from Magens Bay and most major resorts. There are many beautiful resorts and villas on the island. We recommend staying near Magens Bay, Red Hook, or Charlotte Amalie for convenience. Some popular options include: The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas (luxury beachfront) Margaritaville Vacation Club St. Thomas (fun & relaxed) Emerald Beach Resort (close to airport) Private villas via Airbnb & Vrbo Getting Around Taxis are readily available from the airport and resorts. However no uber services. Rental cars are recommended if you’d like to explore the island. Keep in mind: driving is on the left side in St. Thomas. 🌴 Things to Know U.S. citizens do not need a passport. Currency is USD. Lightweight, breathable clothing is best. Don’t forget sunscreen!
