COVID-19 Mitigation

We want all our friends and family to be able to share our special day with us but the health and safety of our guests is our highest priority. In light of that, we are asking all our guests to please follow CDC guidelines to the best of their abilities. Please consider vaccination and/or quarantining and testing after travel. We plan to have a fun, safe wedding within State of Michigan and CDC COVID mitigation guidelines. For CDC information, please visit: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html For the State of Michigan's COVID mitigation plan, please visit: https://www.michigan.gov/coronavirus/ Note: the guidelines will likely evolve between now and our wedding date, so check the links above as well as our website for updates before you travel!
Question

What precations should I take if I'm flying to attend the wedding?

Answer

We encourage our guests to consider vaccination prior to flying. If you are not fully vaccinated, the CDC recommends you take the following steps to protect yourself and others from COVID-19: Before you travel: Get tested with a viral test 1-3 days before your trip. While you are traveling: -Wear a mask over your nose and mouth. -Avoid crowds and stay at least 6 feet from anyone who is not traveling with you. -Wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer. After you travel: -Get tested with a viral test 3-5 days after travel AND stay home and self-quarantine for a full 7 days after travel.

Question

Do I have to wear a mask?

Answer

Anyone in Michigan who is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is not required by state order to wear a mask indoors or outdoors. While we will not be enforcing masking, we highly encourage those who are not vaccinated to wear a mask in order to protect yourself and others from COVID-19.

Question

Would you be upset if we didn't stay for the reception?

Answer

Nope! If anyone feels safer just observing the ceremony and leaving before the partying begins, we will not be offended in the least. You just won't get any cake!
