For ceremony and reception, we say “cocktail/semiformal”... whatever that may mean to you! Don’t feel compelled to get very fancy if that’s not your bag, just clean up a little more than your typical everyday wear. The ceremony is outside in a wooded clearing, so be mindful of this when choosing footwear. The camping/after-party is casual (there are places indoors to change clothes).
Due to capacity constraints and other limitations, we request that you not bring a date or friend. If this is a concern for you, please wait until after the RSVP deadline to discuss with us. But we promise there will be plenty of friendly faces to dance with at the reception and cozy-up to around the bonfire!
Only children with parents in the wedding party are allowed; and only the bride and groom's dog has permission from the venue owner to be on-site.
All guests must be out, and their campsites cleaned, by 12:00 noon on Sunday.
In addition to your tent, we recommend bringing a (warm) change of clothes/shoes, toiletries, pillow, sleeping bag, blanket, water bottle, flashlight, and insect repellent. Instruments and games also welcome and encouraged!
There is no fee for overnight guests... relax and enjoy the evening! All we ask is that you are respectful of the natural setting, the venue facilities, and each other.
Yes, all buildings and the covered pavilion have electricity and power outlets.
Yes, there are shared indoor restrooms with electricity, running water, and hot showers. Individual bathrooms in the main lodge should also be available for overnight guests.
There are designated areas for bonfires (which we will be using of course!). Fireworks and sparklers are prohibited by the venue, as are bonfires outside of the designated areas.
You may bring your own alcohol for the AFTER-PARTY, but PLEASE utilize the open bar we are providing during cocktail hour and the reception.
There will be plenty of food served throughout the evening, and we will have a light breakfast for everyone Sunday morning. Feel free to bring snacks for late-night munchies. We also encourage you to bring a refillable bottle or other container for water.
There *may* be extra sleeping spaces with bunk beds in two of the cabins. Please contact the bride or groom to discuss (if we receive multiple requests, priority will be given to out-of-state guests and guests with physical challenges or health concerns). Or, ask if you can borrow a tent from a member of the wedding party!
Yes! In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved under the pavilion and arrangements will be made to secure indoor or otherwise covered sleeping areas for overnight guests.
