His Favorite Memory

My favorite memory of Julia and I, man that’s a tough one. We’ve done so many amazing things together that it’s hard to pick one. If I had to pick one it would have to be the day that we went to pick up our dog, Ziggy. Not only did we change Ziggy’s life, he changed ours too. We were very upset because a few weeks before we got him we were looking at another dog that we thought was the one and ended up falling through. We felt like it was never going to happen. I remember the day we found Ziggy on Craigslist from this crazy mountain woman. She had no shoes on, a camper Parked in her front yard and you’d literally think the house was abandoned. Julia and I had no clue where we were or what we were getting ourselves into. But then comes a little puppy (the runt of the group) and the last one of the litter. I just remember the pure joy in Julia’s eyes when they brought him out and I knew we had to take him home with us. The rest was history. Now you’re probably wondering why I’m talking about our dog and my favorite memory of Julia and I. Ziggy added that last bit to make us feel like a true family. I am constantly reminded of what Ziggy has brought to Julia’s and my life. He’s been there through the roughest of times and the best of times. He’s made Julia and I closer, and over all has just made our lives more joyful. Sure I could’ve told you about our first vacation together, first apartment, first time I told her I loved her. But I thought this one stuck out in particular because it was the first true commitment that we made as adults and that we were going to be together for the long haul. I think I’ve babbled on long enough. But Julia I just want you to know how much I love you and how lucky I am to have you. You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me. - Tyler

Her Favorite Memory

Coming up with just one favorite memory has been quite the challenege. When i think about our relationship, almost every memory is filled with a TON of laughter, so it was hard to narrow down a favorite. Tyler and I had been dating for about four months when we were invited to go to a horse race with my family. Neither of us had ever been to a horse race before, so we were super excited to see what it was all about. We arrived at the horse race which was located on a huge field and went to our tent to meet everyone. We felt so out of place acting like we were rich and like we knew about horse racing. Tyler actually started placing bets almost as soon as we got there and was actually winning! Everyone chalked it up to beginner’s luck but that did not dull Tyler’s excitement at all. The whole day, we were both so excited and happy to be exactly where we were, doing what we were doing. Tyler has a way of making me forget that the real world exists, even if it’s just for a little while. His excitement is infectious and I can’t help but match his feelings when that happens. I remember looking at him at the end of the day on the way home and thinking about how lucky I was to be with such an amazing person and I knew that I never wanted that feeling to go away. And it has never gone away. I am SO excited that I get to spend the rest of my life feeling that infectious excitement and being lucky enough to experience life with a person who loves me unconditionally. -Julia
