Abbaye de Talloires

The Abbaye de Talloires is where the wedding ceremony, reception, and Sunday brunch will be held. This 1000 year-old abbey, turned 4-star hotel offers 37 luxury rooms and suites with breathtaking views of the lake, gardens, cloister, and village. It is located on the shores of Lake Annecy, in Talloires, and is about 8 miles (13 km)/ 28 minutes from the heart of old town Annecy. We highly encourage our guests to stay at the hotel the night of the wedding if possible. The entire hotel is blocked exclusively for our wedding guests on Saturday, June 12th making the whole hotel a private event for us to enjoy and celebrate. **Do not try and book a room through the hotel’s website or by calling the hotel directly. We will have room blocks for our international guests. We will send more information in the coming months.

Flight

Geneva Airport

The Geneva International Airport (GVA) is the closest International Airport to Annecy, France. It’s a 36 minutes drive and 26 miles from Annecy. However, you might find better flight deals from the U.S. to other major European cities like Heathrow where you can connect with a small commuter flight to Geneva.

Train

Swiss Federal Railway

The train (CFF/SBB) is about $15-30. You can buy tickets online ahead of time, or at a SBB kiosk in the Geneva airport. It's about an hour and a half trip from the Geneva airport to Annecy and once at the Annecy train station it is a 10-minute walk to old town Annecy.

Rental Car

Uber

Uber is about $100 from the Geneva Airport to Annecy and takes about 45 minutes. Uber to the wedding venue (Abbaye de Talloires) from old town Annecy is about $35 and takes about 30 minutes.
