We're getting married!

Tyler and Eva’s story began on an April evening in 2023 through a PSEO class assignment. They were both taking a class on careers and the future, and they had to do a video call together to talk about their future career goals. Immediately, Eva caught Tyler’s eye, and her future aligned very much with what Tyler wanted in a wife! Tyler decided that he had to reach out to Eva to see if she was the one! The two quickly found ways to spend time with each other over the following summer. Eva came to Tyler’s baseball games, Tyler made some trips out to Princeton, and they quickly became very interested in each other. Tyler was certain after about two weeks of knowing Eva that they would be amazing together. Eva wanted to wait a few months just to be sure. Eva and Tyler began dating before Tyler’s freshman year of college and Eva’s senior year of high school. The two grew closer and closer despite a busy season of transitions and new things. Tyler realized that Eva might be his future wife. One vivid memory that the couple shares is the first time they said I love you. One evening, the couple was walking together, complementing each other, when one of them, we will let you guess who, was overcome by the desire to say what they both already felt to the core of their beings. In fact, “I love you” was just casually dropped in the middle of a longer conversation, and the couple had to revisit it later to confirm it had actually happened. Their first two years of college were both exciting and full. Tyler began his journey in Sports Broadcasting, while Eva worked at Minnco, and through all the busyness, they continued to make time for each other. Eva quickly made it known that she hoped to get married soon, and Tyler was all in. The pair hatched a plan to get engaged sometime in the fall of 2025, and Tyler came through. Tyler put together a plan to get engaged at Palisade Head on the north shore and pulled it off to perfection. The couple got engaged on September 28th, 2025. A little story about their engagement. Tyler took Eva up north without telling her where they were headed. He pulled off the engagement surprise by giving her 3 potential dates he might propose on, making her guess which one he would choose. The first date turned out to be the day he proposed to her, but she was incredibly surprised when he did. He took her around Tettegouche State Park first for a few hours, and she was expecting him to propose on every little cliff they encountered, but it just never happened. She ultimately lost hope that he would propose to her that day, but they still continued to enjoy their time together, walking and appreciating God’s creation. Tyler then led Eva back to the car and said that they were going to stop at one other place to walk around. This being the very large cliff formation on the north shore. Eva was in awe of the view as Tyler was stressing over where to go for the big proposal. He led her down to the edge of the cliff, and as Eva was enjoying the view, he went down on his knee and got her attention. Eva was in complete shock, standing there as Tyler continued to ask her to marry him. She said YES! The couple embraced a hug and were filled with adrenaline. It was the happiest moment of their lives so far. Tyler planned to meet his and her parents back down in Duluth to share a meal to celebrate this huge event. Tyler and Eva are very excited for what God has for them in the future, and they are very grateful for all the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon them.
