Tyler has been a lifelong member of Candies Creek Baptist Church. In 2017, Allie started attending youth service there on Wednesday nights with a friend. After church one day, Allie and Tyler were introduced to each other by a mutual friend. They saw each other at church every Wednesday night, but nothing came out of it at first. A few weeks later, Allie started attending Sunday services as well. One day, she went to leave after church and realized she had lost her car keys. She went back inside to look for them, and Tyler met her at the door with her keys. And the rest is history!
On June 23, 2020, we were planning on spending the day at Tyler’s house and playing games. However, I (Allie) really wanted to go eat at my favorite restaurant. Tyler convinced me to change out of my casual clothes so that we could make it into a cute date in Chattanooga. After eating lunch, Tyler said he needed to run an errand while we were there. We just “happened” to drive by our favorite spot in the mountains with an overlook that is sentimental to us. When we passed by, we noticed that the entrance was gated off with signs saying that the area was closed... I will never admit to ignoring the signs and hopping the gate... but a little while later, Tyler got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The entire day turned out to be wonderful and is funny to look back on. It is definitely a story that fits us perfectly!
