It all started in 2019 with a simple Facebook connection—though, at the time, we were both in other relationships. Fast forward to 2022, and fate had other plans. Tyler slid into Alix’s Instagram DMs, and from that moment on, we hit it off instantly. Countless Snapchats, FaceTime calls, and all-day conversations later, we knew something special was happening. Our first in-person meeting was at Howl at the Moon, where Alix was working. The second Tyler saw her, he knew—this was the one. A few weeks later, he made it official, asking Alix to be his girlfriend. From that moment on, our adventure truly began. Our first date was at Mario’s Italian Sports Bar, a spot that quickly became a favorite of ours. Over the past two years, we’ve made incredible memories together—especially at Disney, where we’ve visited multiple times. Anyone who knows Alix knows she has always loved Disney, and as it turns out, Tyler’s inner child was just waiting for the magic to be rekindled. Through it all, we’ve built a relationship full of love, laughter, and inside jokes. We call each other Booshki, share endless laughs about the Jets (mostly at their expense), and no matter how many times they lose—Alix is always there to support Tyler through it. A year into our relationship, Tyler knew it was time to make it forever. He secretly started ring shopping, initially planning a proposal in Chicago. But when those plans fell through, we made a spontaneous decision to fly to Florida—the perfect excuse for another Disney trip! The original plan was to propose outside with a beautiful scenic backdrop… but Florida had other ideas. A tropical storm rolled in, making outdoor photos impossible. Thinking fast, Tyler called an audible (football pun intended!), coming up with a new plan. Inside Disney, we went to meet Fantasia Mickey—the perfect moment to make it official. Tyler told Mickey he had already received Alix’s dad’s blessing, but he wanted to ask for his as well, knowing how important he was in her life. Completely caught off guard, Alix was shocked—but she said YES! Since then, we’ve spent our engagement building a future together—making smart financial moves, buying a boat, and finding the perfect home to fit our three cats (and our future family). Now, we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you as we say I do!
