Emily and Tylan have known each other almost 8 years despite only being together for three. Their friend groups were intertwined all through college, however fate had not aligned their love until October of 2022 when Emily had to leave Brunswick, GA due to a hurricane. While planning her visit up to Atlanta Tylan overheard her one FaceTime with their mutual friend Steve and he was instantly enamored by her intelligence and beauty. Over the following weekend the two spent almost the entirety of their time in same city with each other. By the time Emily had to head back to college in Brunswick the two had already made plans to see each other on Halloween in just a few shorts weeks. Although these weeks were made to seem long and full with all night phone calls and constant conversation until they could see each other again. When Halloween finally came around and Tylan made the journey to Brunswick to see Emily he was timid because his greatest fear became loosing the girl he had come know over the last three weeks. By the end of the Halloween weekend together the two know they were too far in for their own good. The rest of the story is full of many trips from Atlanta to Brunswick and vise-versa from Brunswick to Atlanta. All those journeys have blossomed the love that we all see today!

Many have asked Emily and Tylan the question of why the Salt Flats. Are one of y’all from there? Is that a special place to the two of you? The answer to both of those questions is no. In fact the reason the two chose the Salt Flats relates to their hopeful prayers into their future. For Emily and Tylan the Salt Flats are simply a place the two have always wished to visit. Emily had dreamed of getting married in the Salt Flats since she was a girl. Tylan has an intense love for the outdoors and wishes to see as much of this country’s beautiful landscape as he can. Beyond that however, the Salt Flats represent the beauty these two see in each other. It represents the intimacy the two wish to share over a wedding and throughout the many years to come of their marriage. The Salt Flats represent everything these two people are and everything they love. The shared experience of getting married in the Salt Flats will be a physical representation of everything these two are and everything they share.
