Anyone who has ever planned a wedding was told countless times that no matter how much planning you do, something will go wrong the day of. There's just no avoiding it. I was told that same line time and time again, and every time I would reply with the same response, "I know something will go wrong, but I am going to do everything in my power to make things run as smoothly as possible." And then God laughed. COVID-19. Coronavirus. The 'Rona. Whatever you want to call it, made its appearance. The Saturday before our wedding, Tyler and I made the decision no couple should ever have to make. We decided to have our wedding with only a fraction of our guests present. Tyler and I said our "I Do's" in a very intimate ceremony surrounded by our immediate family. The day was is no way what we had planned, but in so many ways was it what we needed. By getting rid of all the stress relating to linens, centerpieces, hair & make-up schedules, etc., we were forced to bring our focus back to what really mattered. Our marriage. A Christ-centered marriage. Tyler and I cannot express how thankful we are to have been able to get married that Saturday. To still have some of closest family present, some even having to play double-duty as both bridesmaids/usher and lector/cantor, was absolutely perfect. We feel so loved and beyond blessed. We look forward to celebrating with ALL our friends and family in November! -Tyler & Meredith-

Our Story

Tyler and I met through mutual friends in July of 2012 while on a trip to Garner State Park. While we can't seem to agree on who actually made the first move, we can't deny the fact that that trip forever changed our lives. In November 2012 we "officially" started dating. Throughout the six years we dated we lived in six different cities (none of which we were in at the same time), traveled to five different states and one foreign country, and adopted our sweet puppy Arrow. The distance was hard, but we both knew being together was worth it. It wasn't until February 2019 we were finally able to call Arlington home, together. While on a trip to Las Vegas we visited Red Rock Canyon. We chose to hike Turtlehead Peak Trail and it was quite possibly the hardest hike I have ever done, but it was completely worth it. While at the top of the mountain, with the beautiful mountain landscape for a backdrop and no one else around, Tyler got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was absolutely perfect. We are now in the midst of starting the next chapter of our lives together and we cannot wait to see what all God has planned for us in the future. #TyingUpTheTimmons
