Our story began when we met after a rather clumsy introduction (LOL!). Sakina was weeks from graduation and Vincent was visiting campus to welcome new members into his fraternity. After a rather awkward introduction by a mutual friend, the two exchanged numbers and within the hour began texting one another. The following week, Vincent returned to campus for an event where he would get the opportunity to spend some time with Sakina, while also being grilled by some of her friends (LBVS!). What started as calls and texts soon grew into summer dates, endless laughter and shared memories. While celebrating Sakina’s birthday, Vincent made it official and asked her to be exclusive; marking the beginning of a love story that continues to grow stronger every day. Over the years, we’ve traveled the world together, navigated the challenges of a long distance relationship, and learned so much about ourselves through each other. Our relationship is rooted in friendship, respect, and genuine love; the kind that deepens with time. On September 30th, 2024, Vincent proposed at the Lyndale Rose Garden under a beautiful sunset. It was an intimate, heartfelt moment that we will never forget. We cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter, being surrounded by those that mean the most to us!
