Our story began in 6th grade at South Middle School, when the 99lb blonde with a mouth full of metal caught my eye. He showed off by doing 12 pull-ups in gym class and naturally made "Falcon Choir" with me, for only the most elite singers. Over the next 3 years, Matt and I had various classes together and always seemed to find our way back to each other through randomly assigned seating charts. Finally in 8th grade Algebra, our teacher must have sensed a spark, because over the course of 4 quarters and 4 seating chart changes, we found ourselves together the entire time.

Our fling began with exchanging extra credit assignments (sorry Mr. Kent!). Matt would complete my Sudoku's and I would solve all of his brain teaser worksheets. I knew it was the real deal once he complimented my Velcro plaid shoes, then let me borrow his iPod Nano when mine broke. We continued to text and awkwardly greet each other at social events through freshman year of high school. Matt always hinted at wanting to hang out, but then would make up excuses every time it came down to it (how many times can one fix a hole in their garage wall?). After over a year of beating around the bush, we finally agreed on a scary movie night.

Our first date happened in Fall of 2009, during our sophomore year of high school. We spent 6 of the next 8 years in a long-distance relationship while finishing undergrad and graduate school. We finally decided we wouldn't mind living in the same state, and have since bought our first home in Madison together! We can't wait to celebrate this day with you - it's been a long time coming :)
