Welcome to our wedding website! We are beyond excited to be able to share this next adventure with our friends and family, but before that we want to share how we got here. Many of you have been with us from the start but may not know our whole story. 2020 was a year that changed many lives forever. While it brought us stressful times like many others, it also was the year that dating apps brought us in front of each other. Rachael made fun of Stephen's goal to travel in the year of quarantine and immediately bonded them over their shared sense of humor. With most things still shut down there was no choice but to spend time inside and learn that we shared many of the same values and interests like family, football, brunch, and Game of Thrones. More importantly, it became obvious that we brought out the absolute best out of one another. As we started to get introduced to each other's friends and family, they all saw our loving relationship bloom and grow. After a year and a half it was time for the next big step - renovating and moving in together which required a lot of love, patience, and the support from our friends and family. As if that month-long renovation wasn't enough, a month later we brought in our first furry member of the family, Bailey Pup. She has been the biggest challenge to-date but has also been one of the biggest rewards and a continuous test of our ability to work together with support, kindness, and love. In between all of that we have been able to travel to Disney, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Deep Creek, Ocean City and have the best time, whether it's just the two of us or twenty. With a trip to the Outer Banks planned, Stephen decided it was the best time for another life-changing moment. On September 9th, he arranged a trip to our favorite park with Bailey. After some play time and a sushi date, Rachael's family arrived and after secretly putting a bandana on Bailey with the words "will you marry my dad”. Stephen got down on one knee and could barely wait to get out the words, "will you marry me?" With tears in her eyes, Rachael said yes to spending a lifetime together. After a snowball and a private slow dance to our favorite song at home, we celebrated the night with friends and family before leaving for vacation the next day. For us, the past three years have felt like a lifetime in the best way possible. Three years is enough time for two strangers to learn everything about each other, come up with about a dozen nicknames, fall in love, and become each other’s best friend. We are beyond excited to marry each other and to bring you all along on this first step in this next journey. Please enjoy the rest of the wedding website filled with photos and information for our out-of town-friends. With love, The Future Mr. & Mrs. Chott!
