Our Testimony
Both Daniel and Tyeisha, met and grew up at Beulah First Missionary Baptist Church (MBC) under the leadership of the late Robert L Ware. At an early age both Daniel and Tyeisha gave their lives to Christ without fully understanding what it included. After walking away from Christ during adulthood, God moved Tyeisha to North Carolina for employment. After moving to North Carolina, Tyeisha experienced God in a way like never before. Being completely reliant upon Him, due to the mile away from her family, she re-dedicated her life to Him in full submission. A few years later, God began doing a work in Daniel’s heart. God began tugging at Daniel’s heart and he had questions about God and was led to ask a minister at the church he grew up at, Min Hodges. The next few months, Min. Hodges began mentoring Daniel and Daniel joined the church Min Hodges is now an Assistant Pastor at. On occasion Daniel and Tyeisha, would have casual conversations in person (ant church during Tyeisha’s visits) and on social media encouraging one another in their faith. Mother’s Day 2025, Tyeisha felt led by God to go home to celebrate with her mother (the first time since 2021). After service Daniel and Tyeisha had another casual conversation after church catching up. The day of Tyeisha’s departure back to North Carolina, Daniel texted Tyeisha praying for safe travels and Tyeisha asked if it was okay if she called him during her 10 hour drive. Daniel agreed. That day, they spoke on the phone for 5 hours, sharing their testimonies, sermons they previously heard on YouTube, and more all things with Christ at the center. After that day, the two spoke everyday, depending their relationship with God and to each other together. With the approval of Tyeisha’s parents, the two began dating later that month, May of 2025. Before “making it official” the two shared their desires and thoughts on marriage, therefore after “making it official” the two began pre-marital counseling with their now pastor, Pastor Jason Davis of Imapct Church, North Carolina. In August of 2025, Daniel made a trip to visit Tyeisha for the weekend. After returning to Michigan, Daniel realized he did not want to leave North Carolina. After prayer and guidance from God, Daniel packed his car, left his job, drove to North Carolina, and proposed to Tyeisha with the ring he purchased the month before. The couple notified their parents and with the support of both families got married 2 weeks later on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, officiated by Pastor Davis. September 9th now have a multitude of special reasons including Tyeisha’s parents wedding anniversary: September 9, 1989; Tracey’s (Tyeisha’s mom) birthday; and now the newly married couple anniversary. The date was selected after prayer and guidance from God as a representation of God’s covenant made with Noah and his seed in Genesis 9:9 (9/9). The couple understand’s that their lives are covenanted with God and through their union, their future children will also be in covenant with God. It is the couples prayer and intention, that the celebration in Michigan is a time to glorify God in what He has done.
