We first met as teenagers—just 14 and 15—on the local tennis courts one summer. What started as two kids spending their days hitting tennis balls and laughing under the sun quickly turned into something much more. Somewhere between shared smiles and endless conversations, we became each other's best friends, and that friendship deepened into love. Through the years, we’ve grown up side by side, learning, changing, and always choosing one another. For four of our seven years together, we navigated a long-distance relationship while in college. Every weekend, no matter how far the drive or how short the visit, we made it a point to see each other—sometimes only for a day, but always worth it. Those miles taught us patience, commitment, and the joy of finding meaning in life’s simplest moments. After graduation, we finally closed the distance and made Wilmington our home. From morning walks to beach sunsets, we’ve built a life full of laughter, love, and little moments that mean everything. Then, on a quiet day at one of our favorite places—Wrightsville Beach—he got down on one knee. The sound of the waves, the salt in the air, and the stillness of that moment made it all feel perfect. It was intimate, surprising, and full of love—just like us. Now, we can’t wait to begin this next chapter, surrounded by the family and friends who have supported and celebrated us every step of the way.
