How we met

Alyssa’s version

It was a typical day at school I was 15, and I was sitting in class, trying to focus on the lesson. That's when I noticed him - a boy with a confident smile and an air of ease about him. He walked up to me, pulled up a chair, and asked me my name. I was taken aback by his forwardness, but there was something about him that put me at ease. We started talking, and before I knew it, the class was over. But he didn't seem ready to part ways just yet. He asked me if I wanted to grab some snacks with him, and I agreed. We walked to the nearby grocery store, where he insisted on buying me French fries and Gatorade. As we were shopping, he asked me if I wanted "papas" and I pretended like I had no idea what he was talking about. He laughed and said "you never had papas!" I played along, acting like I was clueless, and he teased me about it. As we walked back to Sonic, our conversation flowed easily, and we found ourselves lost in conversation. Hours passed, and we barely noticed. We talked about everything and nothing, our connection growing stronger with each passing minute. As time went on, I realized that I had never felt such a strong connection with someone before. From that day on, we were inseparable. We spent every spare moment together, exploring our town, trying new foods, and just enjoying each other's company. It was as if we had known each other for years, not just hours. Looking back, I'm grateful for that chance encounter. Who would have thought that a simple conversation during class would lead to a lifelong connection? It's amazing how one moment can change the course of your life, and I feel lucky to have found my partner in him.
