When I first met Tyann, I thought she was absolutely beautiful. I was somewhat intimidated by her, but her warm nature made it easy for me to be open to her. I still remember her smile on our first date, although I more vividly remember all of the ducks that we fed. As we got to know each other, I got to know more about her character, and I admired her take on life. Over the past three years of being together, I have enjoyed her company and she makes me happy every day. I do push her a lot when it comes to going on “little walks” with me which she enjoys for the most part. Perhaps after thirty years of being together she’ll wise-up to “the top’s just around the corner”. I love being around her. Our relationship makes me feel safe. She is one of the joys of my life and I look forward to spending the rest of my days making her happy. Her smile gives me a real buzz and I am proud that very soon, she will be my wife.

The first time I met Simon in person, our conversation made a lasting impression on me. He spoke with clarity, confidence and conviction. We laughed and as we spoke more, I thought to myself that I wanted to get to know him better. On our second date, he was so attentive and kind as he spoke with passion about his hobbies and teaching me about fossils as we looked for them. Since then, that thoughtful, kind, loving side he showed me is still present after three years together. I love and I’m in love with him because he helps me to laugh at myself and let loose at times. I love that he is so fearless! He encourages me to try new things and not back down from a challenge. He loves all of me. There are things I’ve told him about myself and he accepts me for who I am. He is my guy. I look forward (most times) to spending time with him. When we are together, I feel at peace. Don’t get me wrong, he isn’t perfect (although he claims to be) but never once has he disrespected me. I’ve prayed so long for and about our relationship that I know without a doubt he is my person. I am honoured that he chose me to be his wife. He is beyond amazing.
