In 2023, before they ever knew each other’s names, a boy and a girl noticed one another for the very first time at a Kehlani concert. They didn’t speak, but at one point the boy and his friend called out to her friend in the crowd—just a tiny interaction that didn’t seem important. Still, in the middle of all the noise and movement, their eyes met for a brief second. They didn’t think much of it, and life moved on. What they didn’t know was that this tiny moment was the first thread God was weaving into a story far bigger than either of them could see. A little while later, they saw each other again—this time at church. The boy was already serving in the youth ministry, and the girl joined the team sometime after. When they recognized one another from the concert, it was a small, funny coincidence. “Wait… weren’t you there too?” As they served together week after week, something gentle began to grow. He didn’t notice it yet, but—quietly, slowly—she began to catch feelings. Still, she kept them to herself. Their friendship strengthened, not through big moments, but through consistency, encouragement, and seeing each other’s hearts for God and ministry. And somewhere along the way, the tiny moment at that Kehlani concert became the beginning of something far more meaningful—a story crafted with intention, grace, and divine timing. A love story that began with a glance, grew through service, strengthened through discipleship, and flourished exactly when God knew they were ready.
