Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dress Code: "Elegant Garden Party Meets Pacific Northwest Chic" We recommend polished, comfortable attire inspired by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Think muted blues, greens, earthy tones, and soft metallics for a sophisticated but not overly-formal vibe. For Women: Floor-length gowns or chic midi dresses in fabrics like satin or chiffon. Patterns, subtle florals, or unique details are welcome. Colors like sage green, navy, dusty blue, champagne, and chocolate brown fit perfectly. Open collars or ties in coordinating colors are a great way to elevate your look. See examples here: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/4433299629118585/ This is simply a suggestion to help inspire your outfit choices and align with the wedding’s aesthetic. There’s no pressure to buy anything new or stress over this—what’s most important is having you there to celebrate with us!

Question

What’s the weather like in Hood River in June?

Answer

Expect warm, sunny summer weather—highs of 80°F, lows of 60°F. Women may want a light shawl for the end of the night.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration. For those who need it, we can help coordinate a local nanny service for the day of the wedding.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Your invitation will specify if you have a plus-one! We've prioritized them for couples in long-term relationships. If you’re unsure, just reach out.

Question

Are guests expected to arrive on Friday?

Answer

We've planned a weekend full of fun, love, and laughter, and we want you to feel completely at ease as you decide how to participate. Both Friday & Saturday are optional, but if you’re excited to make a long weekend out of our wedding, we’d love for you to be part of all (or just some) of these events!

Question

Will there be an afterparty?

Answer

This might be a game-time decision! Tentatively, we’re keeping things low-key but cozy at our Skamania treehouse fire pit from 11pm to 12am with s'mores, music and vibes. But if we can’t seem to take our dancing shoes off, we might audible to the only dance bar in town, Whiskey Tango. Stay flexible with us or head to bed after the party, we won’t blame ya!

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes, transportation will be provided to and from the wedding venue and during the optional Saturday excursion. On both days, the bus will pick up & drop off from Skamania Lodge & the Hood River Hotel. On Sunday, the day of our wedding, pickup will take place promptly at 3:15pm at Skamania and 3:45pm at Hood River Hotel. The last shuttle will leave the wedding venue at 10pm.

Question

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

There are limited parking spots at the venue. We ask that these be reserved for the wedding party, elders, and those with physical limitations. All others, please plan to take the shuttle from Skamania Lodge or the Hood River Hotel.

Question

Can I Uber or Lyft to/from the wedding venue?

Answer

Ride-share is not available in Hood River, so please don’t rely on Uber or Lyft to get home from the wedding. Unless you’ve spoken with the bride and groom about a parking spot, please plan to take the provided shuttle both to and from the venue.

Question

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

No problem at all. Please let us know in your RSVP so we can accommodate your needs.

Question

Should I bring a gift?

Answer

Your presence is truly the best gift, so it's not necessary! But if you’d like to contribute to our honeymoon fund or buy us something we’d love in our new married life, head over to our Registry page.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We want our ceremony to feel immersive and present, so we’re kindly asking guests to keep their phones tucked away for most of it—no screens in the air, no distractions, just you soaking in the moment with us. That said, we know the setting is breathtaking, and if you want to discreetly snap one or two quick photos before the ceremony starts, go for it! But once things begin, we’d love for you to be fully present and leave the capturing to our amazing photographer. After the ceremony? Snap away! We can’t wait to see the moments you capture throughout the night.

Question

I have another question! Who do I ask?

Answer

Leading up to the wedding, feel free to text Ky or Ty with any questions. However, on the day of the wedding, please direct all questions to our planner, Katie Ostler, so we can stay in the moment and enjoy the day! Katie can be reached at (714) 247-9706.
