Dress Code: Elegant Garden Party Meets Pacific Northwest Chic We recommend polished, comfortable attire inspired by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Think muted blues, greens, earthy tones, and soft metallics for a sophisticated but not overly-formal vibe. For Women: Block heels that hold up in grass. Floor-length gowns or chic midi dresses in fabrics like satin or chiffon. Patterns, subtle florals, or unique details are welcome. Colors like sage green, navy, dusty blue, champagne, and chocolate brown fit perfectly (please avoid all-white attire). Open collars or ties in coordinating colors are a great way to elevate your look. There’s no pressure to buy anything new or stress over this; what’s most important is having you there to celebrate with us!
Expect warm, sunny summer weather—highs of 80°F, lows of 60°F. Women may want a light shawl for the end of the night.
While we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration. For those who need it, we can help coordinate a local nanny service for the day of the wedding.
Your invitation will specify if you have a plus-one! We've prioritized them for couples in long-term relationships. If you’re unsure, just reach out.
We've planned a weekend full of fun, love, and laughter, and we want you to feel completely at ease as you decide how to participate. Both Friday & Saturday are optional, but if you’re excited to make a long weekend out of our wedding, we’d love for you to be part of all (or just some) of these events!
Yes! After the reception ends at 10pm, we're headed to the only dance bar in town, Whiskey Tango. The "Blue Star" shuttle will drop off here from the venue around 10:30pm & pickup for a final trek to Skamania around 11:45pm.
Yes, transportation will be provided to and from the wedding venue and during the optional Saturday excursion. On both days, the bus will pick up & drop off from Skamania Lodge & the Hood River Hotel. On Sunday, the day of our wedding, a "Blue Star" shuttle will provide transportation to & from the venue; if taking, please make every effort to be on time. On Saturday, the day of our optional excursion, a party bus will provide transportation around Hood River. The schedule is as follows: -12pm: Pickup @ Skamania Lodge lobby -12:30pm: Pickup @ Hood River Hotel -5:45pm: Drop off @ Hood River Hotel -6:15pm: Drop off @ Skamania Lodge
There are plenty of parking spots at the venue, but it is finite! If you're considering taking a car, please send Ty or Ky a text to let them know your interest, so we can confirm availability. All others, please plan to take the shuttle from Skamania Lodge or the Hood River Hotel.
Uber is just getting started in Hood River, so please don’t rely on it or Lyft to get home from the wedding. If you need a taxi, the best thing to do is call a local taxi service (Gorge Taxi, Hood River Pedicab) and consider scheduling in advance.
No problem at all. Please let us know in your RSVP so we can accommodate your needs.
Your presence is truly the best gift, so it's not necessary! But if you’d like to contribute to our honeymoon fund or buy us something we’d love in our new married life, head over to our Registry page.
We want our ceremony to feel immersive and present, so we’re kindly asking guests to keep their phones tucked away. No screens, no distractions, just you soaking in the moment with us. That said, we know the setting is breathtaking, and if you want to discreetly snap one or two quick photos before the ceremony starts, go for it! But once things begin, we’d love for you to be fully present and leave the capturing to our amazing photographer. After the ceremony? Snap away! We can’t wait to see the moments you capture throughout the night.
In the week leading up to our wedding, please direct your questions towards our parents and wedding party. They have detailed copies of the weekend's schedule and more. On the day of the wedding, please direct all questions to our planner, Katie Ostler, so we can stay in the moment and enjoy the day! Katie can be reached at (714) 247-9706.
