In 2019, Claire’s typical HR day took an unexpected turn when the greatness of Ty’s resume landed on her desk. Not knowing that he was going to be the man of her dreams, she reached out to him to offer a co-op position. Ty, equally unaware of the serendipity at play, eagerly accepted. When Ty first met Claire upon arriving at the plant, it was at that moment he realized it was going to be a good experience at Kohler. Although things were not quite lined up for the two love birds yet, there was an undeniable spark between them. Throughout Ty’s co-op, their conversations flowed easily, and though their paths would temporarily diverge when he returned to college, they stayed in touch. As the months went by, life began to pull them in different directions. It seemed like their connection might fade…… but fate had other plans. In 2021, Ty was offered a full-time position back at Kohler, where his beautiful HR lady worked. So of course, he accepted and continued his persistent journey of talking to Claire despite the advice from coworkers—“don’t get your honey where you get your money”. There were some hills and valleys to cross, but Ty got Claire to fall for him, and they had their first date in May 2022. By July 17th, it was clear that what they had was more than just a passing connection—it was the real thing. Claire, not one to wait around, asked Ty to make their relationship official. From that day forward, their love story took off. With the unique privilege of seeing each other both at work and after hours, their bond grew stronger with each passing day. On March 9, 2024, during a rainy yet beautiful getaway to Gatlinburg, TN, Ty got down on one knee and asked Claire to spend forever with him. Now, as they prepare to embark on the rest of their lives together, they look forward to a future filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures together.
