Chloey and Ty attended the same middle school together in Pahrump, NV. While they were never really friends, Ty likes to tell the story of how he had a crush on a little redhead in his biology class. Chloey spent high school and most of college in Oregon, where she never even thought twice about most of the kids from her childhood days. Fast forward to COVID times, Chloey made the decision to move back to Pahrump to live with her grandparents and start up her veterinary career again once finishing college. Ty, who was finishing trade schooling out in Arizona, became friends with Chloey through social media. Chloey was not taking dating seriously at this point, but for some reason when Ty started liking all of her posts, she slid into his DM's (let it be known... she made the first move even if he says otherwise). After weeks of talking and finding a lot of common ground, things quickly turned to flirting even from 950 miles apart. Chloey thought things were more casual and fun and honestly quite scared of a relationship with someone she hadn't physically met since they were 12 years old. Ty, on the other hand, was ready for a life with the "glown-up" version of his little redhead crush. Chloey decided if they weren't on the same page that things should not progress, which led to a brief hiatus between the two. Chloey spent time preparing for the move and Ty was once again an eligible bachelor. When Chloey got wind that Ty had found a new interest in someone, the jealousy set in a lot harder than she expected. She is the one who let him go after all, so she respected his decision. However, they remained friends and still talked nearly every day. Ty's interest ended up not working out after he realized Chloey was still the one on his mind. Many FaceTime calls were shared between the two due to covid quarantine, even living in the same town. Next thing you know, Chloey and Ty are stuck in his broken-down Chevy on a dry lake bed on April 28th, 2020, in Pahrump, getting towed out by their mutual friend Ponce. How's that for a first date?! From then on, the two were inseparable. From game nights with his parents, into a small one-bedroom apartment in Las Vegas, 2 stinky little pugs, and a life move to Utah, the couple withstood the rollercoaster of life together. 3 and a half years later, he FINALLY asked her to share the rest of their lives together. While the road may have been full of many twists, turns, and bumps - they sure know it was worth every mile to get here.

Ty and Chloey had a trip planned to Vegas on August 19th, 2023 to see her favorite country singer, Zach Bryan, that she bought tickets to months in advance. Chloey was so excited about the concert and was anxiously waiting for the day to arrive. Chloey made the executive decision that they needed to dress nicely for the event and made sure the outfits complemented each other well. Little did she know, this would pay off for Ty more than her. Ty booked a hotel room as a surprise, which was too easily soiled by Chloey asking too many questions as usual. Ty made many phone calls the week prior, including asking her Grandparents, who she adored the most, for permission to marry their girl. He also showed off the ring to many family and friends while Chloey was out of town working at her Vegas clinic. The day of the concert finally arrived and Ty woke Chloey up at 8 am sharp to get on the road. Legend has it, Ty has never seen her get out of bed so fast in their entire relationship. Once in Vegas, they had breakfast with Ty's Grandparents, and boy does gramps cook up some mean eggs benedict. A few errands were run after and then they reached the hotel. Chloey spent her time in the room getting ready and having some drinks while Ty had a little nap. Ty then got ready and slipped the ring box into his pocket and proceeded to make some surprise reservations. Of course, Chloey is once again asking too many questions about the reservations, and he finally tells her the walk is 1.2 miles from the room. As the two were walking, Vegas was in the midst of being hit by Hurricane Hilary. Ty was in contact with Berklee, his sister/the photographer the entire walk, and was notified the setup may not survive the weather. Chloey and Ty were then running to said reservations on a street that did not even have a functioning sidewalk. At this point, Chloey is laughing at the fact that she's in a little white dress and her hair is soaked from the rain, running to some unknown reservation. As they reached a parking garage, Ty hit the up button to an elevator, which Chloey was so confused about. He then covered her eyes and walked her out on the rooftop where she saw the dreamiest western-themed proposal aisle. As she threw her purse off to the side (because Berklee trained her well for photo purposes), Ty got down on one knee and asked the long-awaited question in front of his mom and sister. The four of them celebrated back at the hotel room and then Ty and Chloey headed off to the concert. Berklee and Lynnette decorated the hotel room and set up champagne for future Mr. & Mrs. Wells to enjoy after the show. It was truly a romantic day to remember.
