Ahna’s POV: We first crossed paths at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT - specifically in an accounting class. What began as a study group of four classmates (s/o to Emma Shew, a bridesmaid in our wedding) quickly grew into meaningful friendships. (Side note: I sat right behind Ty and got to admire his big back muscles.) Eventually sparks started to fly (I mean, duh), and now, just five years later, we’re getting married! I am so thankful for MSU, ACCT 202, & Bozeman for introducing me to the love of my life. It may not be the craziest story ever told, but as Ty always says, “If we can survive accounting class together, we can survive anything.”
Ty’s POV: Flathead Lake has been a meaningful part of our journey from the very beginning. Knowing how much the lake means to Ahna, I couldn’t imagine proposing anywhere else. More specifically, Volunteer Park, which we now like to call “Ahna and Ty Park.” It’s where we shared one of our very first walks, surrounded by the beautiful lake. Coming back to that same spot to ask her to marry me felt like the perfect full-circle moment - filled with love, meaning, and gratitude.
