An Internet Love Story....

It started with a friend request initiated by Tony. I was very skeptical about the whole online dating thing. But after checking out his profile, I kindly accepted. For 1.) He approached me RESPECTFULLY. 2.) He was fully clothed in all of his pictures. 3.)He didn't look crazy. 4)He was CUTE. 5.) He had dreads. After chatting online, texting and long early morning conversations as Tony worked nights at that time, we came to the conclusion that we had several common interest, and our #1 interest was FOOTBALL. As myself, Tony is a die-hard Baltimore Ravens Fan. That is where he "got me!"

Tony hinted to me several times, that he was a single guy with no children, therefore, he ate like a single guy with no children. In other words, he couldn't cook. (lol) So I decided for our first date, I'd cook for him. Out of all the things he could have requested for dinner, he requested spaghetti. So spaghetti it was. Around 6pm that evening, he arrived to pick me up so we could go to the grocery store to get all the food and ingredients I needed for this pasta date night, To make a long story short, my spaghetti was a hit. And I could tell he appreciated the homecook meal. After dinner, we chatted, laughed, played Playstation games and I literally crashed on his chest on the couch. It was a perfect 1st date. I'll never forget that day when we had "the discussion," 7 months after we met online. On that morning, Saturday March 10, 2012, we came to the decision, we were just too old to just be "kickin it." On that day, we became officially "booed up!" 💞

It was a normal Christmas morning, watching the kids play with their new electronics and me cooking Christmas dinner with my Mother. My oldest daughter came and told me to come in the living room and sit down. My family gathered in the living room as well. I'm looking at them like, "what are y'all looking at and giggling about." Next thing I know, he was on 1 knee and I said YES! And the rest is history. Yes, it's been a long engagement indeed but finally we can say, 2019 is OUR year! Through these years together, we've learned one valuable thing...A true relationship is two imperfect people refusing to give up on each other because ALL great things take time.💞 Needless to say and not to brag, but we look darn cute together! #MeetTheRosses
