In May of 2014, Leah got an email from a guy who loved golf and lived nearly 200 miles away. That combination didn't seem very appealing to her back then, but somehow, five years after that first email, they're getting married! In the time since then, she has learned to love golf, and Michael has learned to love dance competition reality shows... Just kidding! What we have learned is that we liked being together more than being apart. We both love going to concerts - hence the Music Festival Honeymoon - and have learned how to love new music together. (He'll never admit it but, Michael totally loves Taylor Swift now!) We've learned that even though we disagree on which brand of mayo is best, whether or not we should have pet goats, and why throw blankets are necessary in every room of the house... we agree on more important things. We agreed that Leah needed to take the leap and move to Rock Hill so that we never had to be 200 miles apart again. We agree that Darby is the sweetest pup of all time and we couldn't imagine life without her (even though she takes up way to much space in the bed). We agree that an ice cold Sprite, fresh out of a can is always a good idea. Most importantly, we agree that no one could love either us better than we can love each other. We also agreed that we wanted to share a wedding day together that was quiet and intimate. Neither of us wanted a big, chaotic day that would flash before our eyes. So, when a friend offered to host our ceremony at their house on Lake Norman, we decided a sweet little elopement on the lake would be the perfect fit! The plan is to have Leah's best-friend-cousin-all-time-favroite-person-and-man-of-honor, Kyle, officiate the ceremony. Our good friend Kim will serve as our witness and the person in charge of keeping both of us sane. And, obviously, Darby will serve as our Best Doodle. We can't wait to come back from our Honeymoon and celebrate at the Reception with our closest family and friends!
