Well... we were at least! Our story is a two parter which starterd when we were in our early 20s, almost 8 years ago. We met through a mutual aquaintance in Orlando and became friends by association, but lost touch after a few months. Facebook brought us back together about 6 months later so we decided to hang out and found that we had a lot in common from our love for classic rock (Specifically the GREAT Pink Floyd) to our growing interest in craft beer. We dated for a few months but it was not our time yet, so we broke up and I (Whitney) moved back to South Florida a few months later. Over the next six and a half years we stayed closely in touch. We would visit each other every time we were in the other's city, went to a few concerts and even road tripped to Bonnaroo together one year. When we were apart we often thought about each other... Michael more than me at first, but as the years went by more and more things reminded me of him until I got to a point that I couldn't get him out of my head! Different dreams and signs all kept pointing me back to Michael Dees and all the while he was also thinking about and praying for me. I finally gathered the courage to tell Michael how I felt and he shared that the feelings were mutual. We basically knew as soon as we got back together that this is what God had planned for us and that we both needed that time a part to grow and learn more about ourselves. There were many things that reminded us of each other over the years, so many of the same lines in the same songs that would always make us think about the other- it still gives me goose bumps when i think about them all! That is why music is so important to us and is the biggest part of our wedding.
