We don't have any particular rules or themes. Come in a cocktail outfit that makes you look and feel good! Our one request: The bride will be wearing black, so we respectfully ask guests planning to wear a dress to please choose another color.
High temperatures are generally in the low to mid-70s, with lows rarely dipping below 55. The humidity is much less noticeable than at other times throughout the year. If you get cold easily, we suggest a light layer.
Our ceremony and reception will both be held at Deutsches Haus NOLA. Both events will be held indoors, but we will have access to an outdoor space along Bayou St. John during the reception.
We have not reserved a hotel block; however, New Orleans is absolutely overflowing with options. Downtown New Orleans, including the French Quarter, is only a 10-15 minute drive from the venue. Many are small boutique hotels with a lot of local history, but just about every major hotel chain has a location as well. If you want to go this route and get the full tourist/vacation experience, look and reserve early to get a good rate! If you prefer to go off the beaten path, check out a short term rental on AirBnB or Vrbo in the Bayou St. John or Midcity neighborhoods. This will put you in a less-touristy part of town while keeping you a very short distance from the venue.
As of this writing, New Orleans has no city-wide mandates in place regarding COVID-19. However, in the interest of preserving everyone's health and safety, we respectfully ask that all guests who are not fully vaccinated and boosted obtain a negative COVID test prior to attending.
