In June of 2017, Joe attended his close friend's wedding and little did he know that would be the night he’d meet his future wife. Gabriella was one of the bridesmaids for her cousin, who was marrying Joe’s friend. After a few hours of dancing, Gabriella was introduced to Joe but there was only an exchange of hellos. The following September, Gabriella received a phone call from the newlyweds to make sure she came over for a fantasy football draft because “Joe Pezz” was coming by. Just like their first encounter, there was only another exchange of hello’s (Joe claims he was too focused on his team to spark conversation). They would only run into each other once a year at the same place. Although it was never more than "hi and bye", Gabriella always had a crush on him and hoped that one day the conversation would come to fruition. 2020 wasn’t the easiest year for anyone, but towards the end of summer there was some light at the end of the tunnel for the both of them. Gabriella, tired of waiting, made the move of privately messaging Joe on Instagram, or as kids call it today, “slid in his DM’s.” Within two hours of conversation, Joe asked Gabriella out on a date for that Sunday and naturally she said yes! As with most first dates, Gabriella was excited, but her nerves were getting the best of her. She was so nervous she FaceTimed her cousins, who knew of Joe, to calm her down. She proceeded to drink two glasses of white wine before getting picked up. They went to dinner and Joe spilled something on the table and that’s when she knew Joe was THE ONE! She finally found someone just as clumsy as her. It was a match made in heaven! They fell in love within just a few months of dating. Joe knew she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He made it official when he asked Gabriella to marry him on November 20, 2021! They cannot wait to share their special day with all their loved ones!
