Lauren & Nathan's story began in 2015, when they were both members of the Westlake High School Marching Band. Lauren played flute and piccolo, and Nathan played trumpet. They became friends after lots of rehearsals and football games, and after a few dates, Nathan asked Lauren to be his girlfriend on November 1, 2015. After Westlake, they both attended Ohio University, where Nathan studied Sport Management in the College of Business and Lauren studied chemistry in the Honors Tutorial College. Nathan finished his degree in 2021, and moved to Michigan to begin his career with the Detroit Lions. Lauren moved to Michigan shortly after completing hers in 2023, and works at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor. In July 2024, they adopted their dog, Mabel. While driving to her puppy obedience classes in August 2024, they took a detour through Hines Park. They returned to Hines Park on September 1st, 2024 for a picnic, and that day, Nathan proposed. After over ten years, including high school, college, a global pandemic, and beginning a life in a new state, they are so thrilled to spend their special day with you on May 30, 2026!
