They used to work together at a call center doing cell phone technical support. Neither one liked the other at first. He thought she was too uppity and she thought he was too cocky. But after getting to know each other over a overly-long drive to Panera Bakery, they decided "Maybe you're not so bad after all."
Traditionally, the man will propose to the woman but she isn't known for her patience. Instead, she decided that she would take that first leap of faith to the next level. Armed with a wedding band and his adorable 4-year-old, she decided to pop the question on a quiet evening at home. Sweating bullets, she asked him to marry her. After waiting what felt like hours, he agreed. Everyone celebrated with chocolate milk and they had a party to plan!
In light of the pandemic, we chose to have a small backyard ceremony on our original date. Family and close friends attended and we hosted everyone else on Zoom. It may not have been what we planned but it was perfect nonetheless because it was ours. Now, we’re moving forward, to focus on the future, not the past. Thank you to everyone who attended, in person or virtually. We appreciate the support and we love you!
