We met online, not knowing we would find love, but blessed we did. Seven years later, here we are... Adrian proposed in Cancun, Mexico while celebrating his birthday last year. I had no clue he was planning a proposal during the trip. He put so much effort into creating the most memorable night of my life, that certainly caught me off guard. Let me set the scene, December 12, 2020 candlelight ocean side dinner by reservations only at The Ritz - Carlton. There was light jazz playing sweet serenades in the background along with the soothing sound of waves rushing up to shore. While walking down the sandy path to our private table, I felt the clam breeze blowing against my face. I was captivated by every detail especially the red rose pedals perfectly placed on the white tablecloth. To my surprise, the night was just getting started and the moon shined just right on us; it was so romantic. After we ate an amazing meal, he stepped away pretending to go to the restroom. As I sat there just gloating to myself, I was approached by our waiter who I thought was returning to offer dessert. Instead, he asked if I liked surprises, I said yes, and he told me he had one for me but, needed to blindfold me. Now everyone knows blindfolds and Mexico do not mix. LOL! But I went along, I was walked out of our private tent toward the shoreline and sat down in a chair. I sat nervously trying to take in what was happening, the countdown begun, and at one the blindfold was removed from my face. There Adrian was, on bended knee smiling from ear to ear and there I was sitting in the middle of a heart shaped with candles in the sand. He popped the question and I SAID YES!! Exactly one year to the date of our engagement he will make me his wife, I will give him my hand to have and hold until death do us part. We can’t wait to solidify our love to each other and God, in front of family and our closest friends.
