We're Getting Married!

Let's set the scene: the glorious (and sometimes slightly soul-crushing) world of online dating. Our hero, Drew, was living life on the edge, a mere 24 hours away from his Hinge free trial expiring. Was true love really going to cost him full price? Across the digital universe, our heroine, Alicia, was reaching her breaking point, precisely 12 hours from throwing her entire phone into the ocean if one more match dared to describe himself as a "masculine architect." (Seriously, the struggle was real.) Then, like a beacon of sunshine through the dating app haze, there he was: the absolute teddy bear with the kindest eyes that Alicia just couldn't scroll past. She, ever the one for dramatic flair, waited until the absolute last possible minute to make that match. And thankfully, when the digital stars aligned, they hit it off instantly! Our legendary first date unfolded at one of Alicia's beloved little College Park dive bars, "Brake Pad." What happened next is a tale for the ages, involving both culinary delight and public displays of affection. Drew may or may not have openly wept tears of pure joy over their french fries and old fashioneds (a man who appreciates the simple pleasures, clearly!). And, as early Fourth of July fireworks unexpectedly lit up the sky, we may or may not have spent the rest of the evening making out in front of a complete stranger's house. Pure cinematic romance, right? But just when you think this whirlwind couldn't get any wilder, life threw a curveball. Within two short weeks of our unforgettable first date, Alicia was already packing her bags for an East Coast adventure with her daughter, Bradley, sending her off to her first sleepaway camp while Alicia caught up with old friends and enjoyed some much-needed R&R. This is where Drew truly showed his colors. Barely three weeks after formally meeting in person, this incredible man signed up to dog-sit Alicia's sweet pup, Tova, for three whole weeks! He endured (and probably secretly enjoyed) minute-by-minute check-ins of all of Alicia's adventures, proving he was truly someone special. And the rest, as they say, is a very happy, dog-loving, non-architect-obsessed history! We can't wait to add our wedding day to this wild and wonderful story with all of you!
