After connecting on CoffeeMeetsBagel, the couple chatted for a few weeks and then decided to meet on January 4th at Devil's Acre Tavern where they spent a few hours. Andrew told Maria a cheesy joke and she knew she needed to see him again.
One of the couple's first dates was a winter picnic overlooking an icy lake at Nockamixon State Park. Maria's family was in town for her mom's birthday, so Andrew seized the day when he took Maria on a hike to the same spot while her family was "resting for dinner". At the same overlook, Andrew asked Maria to be his bride. (She said yes!) They rushed back to Maria's to get ready for her mom's birthday dinner, a small get together that the bride-to-be had planned and made RSVP's for herself...little did she know Andrew had invited their close friends and Maria's family to surprise her at the Lumberville General Store. The spot of her mom's "birthday dinner" and also a spot the couple frequents.
