Matthew and I met while we were both working at Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, FL. I was incredibly lucky to be his dealer when he decided to play a satellite to a poker tournament. Matt was sitting right next to me and while I am usually bubbly and cheerful I was having a rough night. It wasn’t until I made a joke (at one of the other players expense) and heard Matt’s laugh that I started to lighten up. The next day fate stepped in again. Out of the 100+ tables I sat at Matt’s table to deal again. We hit it off so well that at the end of the night Matt came up to me and handed me his business card (this was the smoothest thing he has ever done lol). I saved his name in my phone as “Stoutrageous”. Ever since then we have been inseparable.

We fell in love quite quickly. We met January 2018, started dating February 2018, and had already said we loved each other in March 2018. Good thing we actually loved each other because fate would step in again and on April 8th, 2018 we found out we were blessed with a beautiful baby boy! Asher has been the most incredibly thing to happen to us both!

On November 7th, 2018 I had to have a root canal! I was almost 8 months pregnant and was in a terrible mood. We have our weekly home poker game that we invite all of our friends to. I was annoyed about my root canal that I told Matt I didn’t want to have it. He said we should still definitely do it. So we did. Turns out everyone was in on it. Matthew had rigged a deck of Faded Spade cards to give me a Royal Flush and him Quads so that he could tell me he is “All In” on our relationship. He got down on one knee (after throwing a ring box at me lol) and asked me to be his wife! It was the most amazing feeling ever! I still was in shock (even though I was carrying his baby)! In fact my exact words were “are you sure?”
