Turning Tussey

We all had that freshman year crush—the one that barely lasted and left you hoping you wouldn’t run into them in the hallways for the next four years. Bryce and Abby just didn’t realize that their short lived fling would come full circle 10 years later, turning into a lifetime of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. After their breakup in the cafeteria (ouch), Bryce and Abby’s paths didn’t cross again—not in high school, not as young adults. That is, until Bryce decided to re-add Abby on social media and slid into her DMs. One late night, he called her out on a decade-old Taco Bell debt she owed him. Abby, always up for a challenge, picked him up to settle the score, and just like that, their story picked up where it left off—this time for good. Their rekindled relationship was full of Harry Potter marathons, competitive board games, and late-night drives. As they spent more time together, they discovered all the things that made each other charming, unique, inspiring, and lovable… along with the quirks that were annoying, odd, and sometimes downright bizarre. But through all the highs and lows, they fell more deeply in love—not just with each other but also with each other’s families. Bryce knew early on that Abby was the one, and Abby, in her journal, wrote, “I really hope he’s the one.” Just over a year into dating, Bryce made his move on top of the Seattle Great Wheel, getting down on one knee with the most BEAUTIFUL ring. (We’re pretty sure you can guess how that story ended!)

God has a beautiful way of making His plans happen in His perfect timing. Bryce and Abby had no idea that giving their relationship another chance would lead to a journey that would not only change their lives but also bring them closer to Him. What seemed spontaneous and random was God’s way of weaving together their paths into His perfect plan. For Abby, faith had always been there, but truly walking with God was something she hadn’t yet understood. Early in 2023, she felt a deep pull to reconnect with her faith and discover who God created her to be. For Bryce, it was a time to explore his faith for the first time in years. Thanks to the seeds planted by his grandparents, he had a foundation to start from and was ready to learn more about Jesus with an open heart. When they reconnected, it wasn’t just about love—it was about God’s purpose for their lives. Together, they found joy, laughter, and a shared journey of inviting Jesus into their relationship. As they grew in faith, they dove into their church, youth ministry, and their own spiritual walks. It’s been challenging at times, but more than that, it’s been freeing, joyful, and deeply fulfilling. Bryce and Abby are excited to continue this journey with God at the center of their marriage. They can’t wait to celebrate their special day with Him as their foundation and are so thankful to have you there to join in the celebration.
