Nimmi is Soumya’s older sister, a fact that she was constantly reminded of by their high school teachers. Nimmi plays the very crucial role of being Soumya’s personal editor (be it midnight resume reviews or university applications) and has most likely revised all the content on this website. In her free time, Nimmi loves playing the role of event planner and has helped coordinate around ten weddings this year. Emulating the rivalry of their favourite tennis players, Rafa and Roger, Nimmi has always pushed Soumya to be her best self through her resilience, discipline and eloquence.
Aditya Menon
Best Man
Aditya and Tushar met at their first job at KPMG and became inseparable over the years. During their tenure as roommates, they often hosted bbq/board game parties where Tushar played sous chef to Aditya. Over the years, they’ve teamed up to go on several adventures together - whether it be their startup, travelling to Russia for the world cup, or tearing up the dance floor at weddings. Loyal to a fault, Aditya is the closest thing Tushar has to a real brother and the ‘best man' to stand up with the couple.
Kareshma Mathew

Kareshma is Soumya’s younger sister and self-appointed packer. Their sister reunions usually include a Beyonce duet, binging Netflix, and Kareshma stealing 90% of Soumya’s wardrobe. Heralded as the funniest Mathew, Kareshma can do stellar impressions (she’ll be accepting requests at the reception). Every kid’s favourite Ms. K, Kareshma finds new and innovative ways to keep her students engaged while working with the incredible team at Teach for India.
Rex Antony
Groomsman
While Rex might be standing on the groom’s side at the wedding, Soumya claims him to be her friend first! However, Rex and Tushar formed their own tight bond, sharing a love for Korean drama shows and reliving history through youtube videos. With an incredible workout ethic and love for smoothies, Rex is a perfect shoulder to lean on both in and out of the gym.
Hadassah Abraham
Bridesmaid
Hadassah is the only other female cousin of the Kattathara clan and is considered the fourth Mathew sister. As the two ‘artsy’ cousins, Soumya and Hadassah both enjoy creating art, performing music, and writing lyrics. Combining her brains with her passion for patient advocacy, Hadassah currently serves as a research coordinator at the BC Cancer Center in Prince George.
Siddharth Sethi

Need a guy who knows a guy? Sid’s your guy! Sid and Tushar met early on in their careers and despite supporting different football clubs (Sid’s Arsenal versus Tushar’s Chelsea), these two overcame their differences through their mutual love of meat, wine, and news stories. With his love for archery and his silver tongue, Sid’s essentially your modern-day Robin Hood (just don’t ask him to wear tights!)
Adoline Dsouza
Bridesmaid
Sugar, spice and everything nice, Ado is Soumya’s go-to person when it comes to all things desserts and fashion. As a recent graduate from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, Adoline has spent the last few years inspiring all of Instagram with her creations and plans on starting her own business in India. While their friendship has mostly been long-distance for the last 10 years, Soumya and Adoline have stayed in touch with frequent phone calls (none of which have been shorter than four hours).
Mavin Davis

Tushar and Mavin met in university and became best friends immediately. Mavin’s social skills are often on display whether it be with his Michael Jackson moves on the dance floor or negotiating a trade offer at the board game ‘Settlers of Catan’. Even though he currently lives in Germany, Mavin has maintained his comedic chops and can be counted on for a quick laugh.
Jonathan Fernandes
Bridesman
Look for the guy who’s unapologetically wearing an RBF, now say something funny. If you get him to laugh, you’re a lucky soul. Jonathan is Soumya’s oldest friend, and while their friendship first started over exchanging video games, they’ve found a way to stay in each other’s lives for the last 24 years and is basically an adopted member of the Mathew household. Also known as Soumya’s secret chamber, Jonathan is a creative genius and is basically the reason this wedding has compounded.
Anish Karan
Groomsman
Another member of the NITK gang, Anish (a.k.a Abba) and Tushar have been friends for over ten years. While they both enjoy poker and the same taste in music (EDM), the boys’ favorite hangouts often occur over a shared meal of chicken biriyani. Combining their passions, Abba and Tushar can often be found bouncing start-up ideas and product features off each other.
Rochelle Alphonso
Maid of Honor
As her university roommate (fun fact: they’re still living together fourteen years later in Florida), Rochelle has been there for Soumya through the darkest times (literally: Surathkal often had power outages). Rochelle thrives on going out of her comfort zone and can often be found trying a new adventure whether it be goat yoga or horseback riding in a field of sunflowers. While Rochelle may not be there to walk down the aisle with Soumya, she was there to help Soumya say yes to the dress.
Jeeva Seenivasan
Groomsman
Jeeva and Tushar met in university and became fast friends based on their mutual love for football and OG Muscat roots. During their time in Bangalore, the boys enjoyed exploring the city, playing “mendikot”, and booking first-day first shows for most Bollywood or Tollywood movies. Jeeva currently lives in the US but will be a virtual member of the groom’s party and help celebrate the wedding.
