Michelle's Version Doug and I met for the first time in February of 2014. He was talking to a co-worker of mine about basketball and of course I had to add my two cents about how much better Syracuse was over his team, Virginia. We ended up making a bet on the next Syracuse vs. Virginia game which, unfortunately, I lost (thanks 'Cuse). As a result, I had to buy him lunch down at the cafeteria the next day. From there we continued to meet for lunch every couple a months and we got to know each other as friends. By the fall of 2014, Doug could no longer hold his feelings inside and asked me on a first date. The rest is history. Doug's Version (Also known as "The True Story") In starting, my advice to you would be to disregard what you just read and prepare yourself for the magical story of Doug & Michelle. Michelle and I didn't meet in February 2014. In fact, it was more like April of 2013. I was attending a Project Management class and this gorgeous girl walked into the room (and also my life). We met that day and I proceeded for the next 2 days to not pay any attention to the coursework. Fast forward to February 2014 and most of her story about that day is true. She stuck her head out of her cube and said "We are going to crush you". She then proceeded to introduce herself to me...again. While Michelle had entered my life 10 months earlier, it was clear this had been a one-sided daydream. Thankfully, UVA won by 19 pts and my lunch date with her was secured. Lunch dates turned into drinks on the weekend which eventually led to an invitation to dinner, prepared by me at my condo. I had never experienced anything like the nerves I had before she arrived. I knew I wanted to be with her. Whether it was the two bottles of wine or the exquisite meal I prepared, we kissed that night. She was hooked instantly.
