I was originally done with online dating, however, after several friends and a family member had success with it, I decided to give it one more shot. I went on many, many, many terrible dates…and then I matched with David. The way the app worked is you could set the settings so that someone had to be within so many miles of you for their profile to pop up. David and I both had this setting active and we happen by chance to be within the radius we had set where normally we would not be. I remember driving home from work in stop and go traffic and I opened the app and there was David. He looked like he was on a boat and he was making his normal blue steel facial expression and I thought he was so handsome. After matching we started talking, well texting, right away. We would talk for hours and hours conversation came easy to us though we didn’t have a ton in common. After several days of talking I decided there was a low probability that he was a serial killer and we set up a date. I can remember walking up and seeing him standing there in a lime green stripped button down and jeans with this goofy smile on his face. I remember thinking he is so much more handsome than his pictures, which made me twice as nervous. The night flew by, we laughed and talked for hours about anything and everything. As he walked me to my car that night and kissed me good-bye ( it was an amazing first kiss by the way, just sayin), I got in my car and I called my mom and I told her then “I think I found the man I am going to marry”, “he is so amazing mom, I can feel myself half way in love with him already, he is the one.” Also, my friends can all tell you how I could not stop talking about him from the moment we met. I knew then and I know now, David is my forever and always. I love him more and more every day.
