We went to the same high school, and even served in the band together (Chris in the drum line and Brittney in color guard), but barely ever spoke! Years after high school, we met again through mutual friends and eventually began dating, but maybe the timing just wasn't right. We both went our separate ways and started families of our own. Many more years, some beautiful children, and some hard life lessons learned later, we met up again through different mutual friends. It didn't take long before we started dating again, and haven't looked back since!

It started at the beach with some good friends. Little did Brittney know, something big was about to happen! Chris suggested a helicopter ride over the beach. She tried to get the others to come along, but they all insisted on staying at the beach. The ride was beautiful! As Brittney was looking down below, Chris said, "What's that sign say?", but she couldn't see it! The pilot did a couple more laps, spiraling down (she was sure they were crashing) until she finally read the sign that said, "Brittney, will you marry me?", with all of her friends (and even some strangers) waving below!
