This is the world’s largest natural habitat zoo and has 5 miles of hiking trails. The zoo is in Asheboro, about thirty-five minutes from Greensboro.
If you don't have a car or want to stay closeby, there will likely be live music and events going on this weekend, so check out some breweries, vineyards, restaurants when May comes around! Some cool spots we have found: Bourbon Bowl, Natty Greenes, Zimmerman Vineyard, Joymongers Brewery, Grove Winery, Boxcar Arcade.
For people interested in history, Winston-Salem is thirty-minutes from Greensboro.
About an hour from Greensboro, you can visit the infamous Triangle Area of North Carolina: Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. Again, there will be a ton of events going on this weekend that you can find around that area as well! If you're into finding a sporting event, this would be the area we would recommend checking out.
