We went to the same high school, Pekin High, and I was crushing on him hard. He was a year older and had no idea who I was. Years later, when we were both in college, I came across a cute boy in my suggested friends on Facebook. Can you guess who it was? I sent him a private message and asked him the worst pick up line ever, "Did you go to Pekin High?" I guess it worked because the rest is history.

About 5 years ago, shortly after we started dating, we went on a short getaway to Galena, IL. It was an adorable small town and we loved it. We took so many photos but there was one on a huge staircase that went all the way up through the town that I loved so much. It was our first cute couple photo. Well, this last year we were going to Galena with family to ski, (which turns out was never the plan), and I asked if we could reenact the photo. When we finally got to the staircase and I tried to pose just right to perfectly reenact the photo, Billy had other plans. When I turned around he was on one knee and asking me the most important question of my life. Spoiler alert, I said yes.
